Here is a unique Danish teak writing desk with 3 drawers, a locking cabinet, curved shelf, and a spinning dry bar! This freestanding kidney-shaped desk is vintage, probably circa 1950s. Recently imported from Denmark.
On the "user's" side of this desk are three pull-out drawers with round teak pulls. The top drawer is lockable. On the reverse is a locking cabinet with a shelf inside, and an adjustable shelf that sweeps around and follows the curve of the most unique feature; a spinning cabinet or dry bar with off-white or very light blue surface and curved teak-accented shelf.
The teak desk sits on four tapered solid oak legs with very interesting grain and color. Thick, asymmetrical working surface. Matching teak grain on the drawer fronts. Both locks function and two keys are included.
This desk is in excellent condition. The top is very very nice with only few minor imperfections. The rest of the desk is excellent with just a few little flaws, better than might be expected from the age. The insides of the drawers are clean and stain-free. The bottom drawer is a bit difficult to insert or completely remove from the desk, but in normal use slides easily. The other drawers and the cabinet door function perfectly. The dry bar opens and closes very smoothly with one finger.
The desk measures 50.5" Wide x 25.5" Deep x 28.75" Tall overall.
