This is a unique solid teak desk designed by John Mortensen for Dyrlund, Denmark. Circa 1960s-70s. This desk features a working surface that pulls forward, which automatically opens a tambour door compartment with slot, compartments and solid teak pull-out drawers. The leather covered work top also has carved teak cubbies and lifts open for more storage compartments. There is also a mirror mounted to the bottom of the desk top.
This is a very high quality desk with solid teak construction (very rare). It is finished on all sides. The lock is operable and it comes with two keys.
Very good original condition. There are some minor flaws, normal for age and use. The desk top slides well and the tambour door operates smoothly.
The desk measures 43.25" Wide x 28" D (closed) x 39" Tall (overall). With the desk top pulled out it measures 34.5" Deep. The work top height is 28.25".
