This is a very unique folding privacy screen or room divider, with solid teak frame and rattan panels. Likely Danish or Northern European in origin. I would estimate this to have been produced in the 1930s-40s, but possibly from the 1950s, with art deco/early modern styling.

Four folding panels. The construction is thick, solid teak with woven rattan inserts. It sits on solid teak feet (which could easily be removed for a more modern look). No hardware was used in the frame assembly, the hinges are brass. The frame on the "front" of the screen is slightly rounded, and flat on the back.

This room divider measures 72" tall, and the teak frame is 1.25" thick. Each panel is 21" wide, and when fully extended the screen is just over 7' wide. It collapses to 6" deep for storage.

The screen is heavy and tight. It is unrestored so there are many minor flaws present from age and use. The rattan is in excellent condition. The teak frame has wear, including: dings and nicks, rub marks, scratches, etc, but nothing severe. All the joints are perfectly tight. All the hinges are original but a few of the original screws have been replaced. Overall this screen shows very well and is ready to use.
