Danish executive desk in rosewood by Chr. Møller Møbelsnedkeri. Made in Denmark circa late 1950s or 60s. This one is well-made and has a great design. It is refinished and has beautiful rosewood grain. There are three drawers on either side, with curved recessed pulls similar to Arne Vodder. The top drawers are locking, and the key is included. On the back there is a large display or bookshelf with three smaller compartments above. The exterior-mounted legs are solid rosewood.

In the world of Danish furniture making, a “Møbelsnedkeri” is typically thought of as a “cabinet-maker” or “carpentry” workshop that produces few designs of high quality (compared to a “Møbelfabrik” that would be a large production furniture factory producing many designs in high volume). This desk really has the feel of being produced by a Møbelsnedkeri. The construction is rosewood over ply, not particle board. The design of the desk is simple with nice details, and well executed.

This desk was just refinished and is in excellent condition. The top is very nice with no scratches or dings. The top drawers have functioning locks, and the key is present. The insides of the drawers show normal wear from use including a few ink stains and other various marks, etc. All the drawers slide in and out smoothly.

It measures 61” Wide x 30.5” Deep x 29.5” Tall.
