This is a very unique vintage Danish "Safari" style sofa or loveseat. Thick, saddle leather slings with straps and buckles support pillow-filled leather cushions. The frame is heavy, solid oak. This is a high-quality and well-built settee.
Produced in the early-mid 1970s in Denmark. Comfortable with a very nice design, similar to Arne Norell and Borge Mogensen.
This loveseat has a lot of respectable patina, but is in very good condition. The leather cushions are nice and soft with no rips, tears, etc. Designed to show character, several of the leather panels have signs of the cattle brand and natural scars. The leather does have wear including: color loss, scratches, marks, and other signs of age. There are several hard rub marks and scrapes on the back in the thick leather slings. The solid oak frame is tight and very sturdy with no breaks, cracks or structural issues, but does have wear to the original finish.
Measures about 59" Wide x 33" Deep x 33.5" Tall. The seat height is about 16.5".
Free shipping in the U.S. is included in this price. International shipping is available, please contact us for a quote. If you are local or would like to arrange your own transport, please contact me for a discounted price.
