This is a rosewood modular wall unit by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik (FM Mobler), circa 1960s.
3-bay, wall mounted. Nicely outfitted with four cabinets and 6 shelves. This is a very uncommon wall unit and rare to find in rosewood with the full wall panels. We recently imported this piece from Scandinavia.
It comes with 3 rosewood wall panels, 4 black metal mounting rails, and the following components:
1 large cabinet with 4 pull-out drawers (all wood construction with dovetail joints, and the inside of the drawers are like new)
1 large cabinet with sliding doors
1 smaller cabinet with a locking drop-down door (original FM Mobler key is included)
1 smaller display cabinet with glass sliding doors (comes with two styles of interior shelves, one set of full shelves, and one set of curved shelves that allow for tall items)
3 small shelves (7.5" deep)
1 medium shelf (11.5" deep)
1 large shelf (12.75" deep)
1 angled magazine shelf
As pictured the unit measures 91" Tall x 102.5" Wide.
This wall unit is in very good original condition. No significant scratches anywhere. One wall panel has two outlet-sized rectangular access holes cutouts (hidden behind the cabinet on the lower left in the pictures), but none of the cabinets are cut or modified. There is some normal "ghosting" or color unevenness on the wall panels due to some areas being covered by cabinets or shelves over the years, so I positioned the components to show this, not hide it. Overall this wall unit is in very very good condition.
The rosewood wall panels are not structural and this wall unit could be installed without them, giving this a floating style similar to a Cado unit.
