This is a rosewood and leather “Moduline” set designed by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen & Torben Lind for France & Søn, circa 1960s. I found these rare pieces in Denmark and recently imported them.
This set consists of three modular seats and one corner table. These pieces can be used individually, or joined together to make a loveseat, couch, or sofa set. All have the original France and Søn brands and badges.
Plenty of patina on the original black biscuit-tufted leather with lots of cracking and wear, but this sofa wears it very respectably. One rear panel has been recovered in matching genuine leather. The original metal springs have been replaced with brand new straps and new bottom dust covers installed.
The rosewood seat frames and table are in very good condition with original finishes. The table top is excellent. There are some minor signs of wear in the wood with a few rub marks on the back legs and other little flaws, but overall the wood is very very nice.
Each seat measures 23" Wide x 28.5" Deep x 28" Tall. The seat height is 15.5".
The table measures 37.5" Wide x 37.5" Deep x 12" Tall.
Free shipping in the U.S. is included in this price. International shipping is available, please contact us for a quote. If you are local or would like to arrange your own transport, please contact me for a discounted price.
