Here is an uncommon piece by the Danish designer Peter Løvig-Nielsen, a two-piece rosewood display cabinet with lower drawers and glass doors. Produced by Hedensted Møbelfabrik, circa 1960s.

The lower portion features 6 drawers in various heights, with round rosewood pulls. The upper drawers on the right and left have original green-felt lining. The right upper drawer is locking (key included). The top contains 6 adjustable shelves behind rosewood-framed glass doors, with matching pulls.

This unit measures 70” Tall x 47.25” Wide. The lower portion is 18” Deep, and the upper is 12.75” Deep.

It is in very good vintage condition. All drawers and the doors open and close smoothly. The glass is in excellent condition. The lock functions properly. The rosewood veneer has nice grain and color throughout. The finish is mostly original and shows very well. There are a few small flaws here and there, as should be expected from a vintage piece, but overall it is in very very good condition. The very top of the piece has some wear and marks. The original maker’s brand and decal are present on the back.

A note to potential buyers: Although this is a two-piece unit, with the top part with doors being a separate and detachable piece from the lower part with drawers, I would not recommend using the pieces individually (using the lower part as a console table for example). This is because the top of the lower unit has rosewood veneer on the exposed front half, but an attractive yet different mahogany veneer across the rear where the top rests.
